So, since the last post. There has been SEVERAL updates to this saga. We can only hope it all ends well. As a quick update, Wendy Williams has been under a court-appointed guardianship, many would say undeservedly so and has been forced to live in a 5-figure a month luxury assisted living facility on a floor for those dealing with severe forms of memory loss and memory loss related diseases.
Since then, she was able to go “out” within the building to a restaurant where she may have been over-served and/or not used to the type of alcohol she had resulting in intoxication.
Additionally, she was able to go to her father’s birthday get together in Florida.
Most recently, she has succeeded in taking an independent cognitive test at a local hospital where she Aced it! She asked for an “independent evaluation” on her incapacitation.
She has gone out with her niece to a restaurant in NYC, but was recently had to
In the process of this, she’s changed legal representation and is in the process of hopefully leaving this guardianship. She was put under this guardianship created by a judge who declared her legally incapacitated after a “diagnosis” of frontal temporal dementia.
This guardianship was initiated by Wells Fargo and ordered by the Manhattan Judge Lisa Sokoloff. The Wells Fargo initiated guardianship estate administrator appointed is Sabrina E. Morrisey.
Wendy Williams calls her current living situation a “luxury prison”.
Up next, Wendy Williams will undergo a medical evaluation by June. It is unclear, if the medical evaluation is separate from the one she already had in March, 2025.
